5-Star Rating by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services awarded Jupiter Medical Center a 5-star rating for Overall Hospital Quality. The 5-star ranking is a result of measuring a variety of rigorous CMS standards across seven areas of quality. The agency uses summary star ratings – one to five stars, with five being the best – on its Hospital Compare website to help patients and families evaluate health care options in a given geographic area. The Hospital Compare overall hospital rating summarizes more than 50 quality measures into a single star rating for each hospital. Scores for mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, timeliness of care, and efficient use of medical imaging are assessed. Jupiter Medical Center has consistently ranked the highest among hospitals in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast and is the only hospital in the region to receive a 5-Star Rating.
