
Mankato Clinic
The physician-owned Mankato Clinic was established in 1916 and has been in continuous operation since that time. Over 50% of our providers are in leadership through committees and elected positions. The current staff is composed of 150 providers and over 700 employees in 10 locations. The Clinic is the seventh largest employer in Mankato. Full laboratory and diagnostic imaging services are offered at the Main Street Clinic, and partial services in satellite offices. The Main Street Clinic is a two-story 105,000 square foot, multi-specialty facility centrally located on the hospital campus. This regional hospital has 170 beds and is designated Level 3 Trauma Center. The Clinic also owns two buildings on our 31-acre Wickersham campus in northeast Mankato. There is a 46,000 square foot multi-specialty clinic with Family Medicine, Eye Care Center, Foot and Ankle Clinic, Allergy, Urology, Otolaryngology and Audiology, and a 56,000 square foot Children’s Health Center, dedicated to pediatric care, featuring kid-friendly activities in the lobby. Pediatric specialty care is also available there through partnerships with Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare from the Twin Cities, and Pediatric Therapy Services of Mankato. There are also primary care clinics in North Mankato, St. Peter, Mapleton and Lake Crystal, MN.
Service lines include a Medicare Certified endoscopic center, sleep medicine center, MRI, 128-slice CT, Skin Essentials Derm Spa, and strategic partnerships with DaVita outpatient dialysis, and an outpatient pain management ASC.
Mankato & North Mankato are 75 miles south of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 80 miles west of Rochester, MN. St. Peter is located just an hour south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul. Blue Earth/Nicollet County Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) has a population of 98,000. The surrounding service area is about 280,000. Situated in a rich agricultural setting, local residents enjoy year-round recreational choices from fishing, swimming, water skiing and boating on numerous rivers and lakes during the summer, to skiing, hockey and ice-skating in the winter. The community is well balanced with retail, higher-education, manufacturing and service industries.
Mankato is home to Minnesota State University-Mankato, Bethany Lutheran College and South Central Community College, which have a combined enrollment of over 20,000. Minnesota State University-Mankato offers a variety of advanced educational degrees including a Baccalaureate Degree in Registered Nursing and a Doctoral Nurse Practitioner (DNP) degree. Gustavus Adolphus College, located in nearby St. Peter, MN is one of the nation’s premier liberal arts colleges with an enrollment of over 2,500. The Clinic actively supports and participates in teaching with these institutions. Mankato public schools rank in the top17% nationally, and there are also excellent college prep private school options.
