Founded in 1987, Neighborhood Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves more than 28,000 patients across six locations in Western New York. From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to working toward health equity.

We believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare that is mindful of patients’ individual preferences

and needs. Concerns such as insurance or finances should not prevent anyone from receiving the care they need. We believe patients are best served when healthcare is embedded in the community. Patients should be able to see a healthcare provider in their neighborhood and feel safe, respected, and heard. Finally, we believe there’s more to each patient than what we see in their chart. By recognizing there are environmental factors that can affect a patient’s health, and being cognizant of the impact of trauma in patients’ lives, we can break down barriers to care, improve access, and allow patients agency over their healthcare decisions.
