Seneca Healthcare District is a community-oriented critical access hospital and clinic that provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, and family practice care. We have a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services with excellence, compassion, and competence.

At Seneca Hospital, we offer a variety of services, including emergency care, diagnostic imaging, medical and surgical care, and a skilled nursing facility. At the Lake Almanor Clinic, we offer primary care including wellness checkups, sports physicals, yearly exams, diabetes management, and family medicine. We also have a walk-in clinic with immediate care for various ailments on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the severity of symptoms. Our specialty clinics include orthopedics, general surgery, and nutritional consultations. Telehealth services are also available. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that promotes wellness and healing for our patients and their families.

Company History

Seneca Healthcare District was formed in 1947 as an independent special district to meet the needs of our rural community. The hospital opened the doors to patients in 1954. The Skilled Nursing Facility admitted the first patient in 1976. The hospital based rural health clinic was built in 1996. Seneca received Critical Access Hospital designation in 2007 and is a non-profit governmental entity supported by tax dollars.
