At Yakima Neighborhood Health Services, our mission is to improve the quality of life and equity in our communities by providing accessible and integrated health and social services, ending homelessness, and offering unique learning opportunities for students of health professions. We have over 350 valued employees, serve over 90,000 patients annually, and have 19 years of HRSA funding in primary care, behavioral health integration, quality improvement, and more.
Founded on the principles of compassion and community, YNHS serves primarily low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, receives the care they deserve. We serve a population of over 240,000 individuals, including migrant and seasonal farmworkers, residents in public housing, and those experiencing homelessness. Our commitment to serving the underserved extends beyond the walls of our clinics, with targeted outreach efforts reaching even the most remote areas of our valley.
Located in Yakima, WA, our community is renowned for its rich culture and breathtaking natural landscapes. With four distinct seasons and easy access to mountains, rivers, lakes, and natural concert amphitheaters, Yakima offers a vibrant backdrop for both work and play. Only two hours from Seattle, Washington, and three from Portland, Oregon, or Spokane, Washington, enjoy the mild weather and tranquility of Central Washington with larger metro areas within a convenient drive.
