Antelope Valley Medical Center's Women and Infants Pavilion (WIP) provides a spacious, modern Labor and Delivery Unit where nearly 5,000 babies are born annually. The pavilion features a home-like atmosphere with labor suites, couplet care rooms, and a Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), emphasizing family-centered care and newborn bonding. Services include 24-hour nursing, lactation consultants, childbirth classes, and bilingual support, with visitor policies designed to protect infant health. The hospital is recognized as a Baby-Friendly facility, promoting breastfeeding and maternal-infant bonding. Additionally, the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) integrates obstetric care with nutrition, education, and psychosocial services for Medi-Cal eligible pregnant and postpartum women.
