For a 4th year in a row, Aspirus Health has been recognized as one of the Top 15 Health Systems in the United States by IBM Watson in their annual study identifying the top-performing health systems in the country based on overall organizational performance. We are a system of 17 hospitals and more than 80 clinics that spans over 25,000 square miles throughout Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a private/not-for-profit facility. Licensed for 321 beds, operating at 245. We average 14,659 inpatient admissions with 72,580 outpatients and 24,000 emergency room visits per year. Our departments include an 18-bed ICU, 15-bed ER, 1,200 annual deliveries in our OB unit, 12-room NICU, 5 cath labs, performing 600 open hearts per year in our Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute. Other units/departments include, Aspirus Regional Cancer Center, Aspirus Spine & Neurosciences Institute, Day Surgery, GI Center, Ortho/Neuro, Medical/Pediatrics, RT, and Rehab.

Wausau offers a metro population of 90,000 with excellent schools, a national performing arts center, and private music conservatory.
