Located just south of downtown Fort Lauderdale is Broward County's largest and most established hospital.  Broward Health Medical Center has 716 beds and is home to vitually every medical specialty, including Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Cardiac Care at the Heart Center of Exellence, a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stoke Center, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Palliative Care, Sickle Cell and on site Wellness Center.
