Concentric Methods, A Cape Fox Company is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team at Camp Pendleton (San Diego, CA). 
This position is a Monday - Friday 40 hour work environment.

The health care workers shall provide psychiatric care for all eligible beneficiaries who require such services and who present to the mental health department, or to primary care clinics.

Emphasis will be on assessment, evaluation, consultation, differential diagnosis, and treatment of all disorders defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (current edition) published by the American Psychiatric Association, to include
post-traumatic stress disorder and other combat-related psychological symptoms.

Additionally, the physician shall perform the following duties.

 Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental
health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies).

 
Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients in the Family Advocacy
Program dealing with domestic violence, physical, and sexual abuse.

Provide professional assistance to the Substance and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program (SARP), as
requested. 

 Provide routine and emergency consultations requested by Naval Hospital staff health care
practitioners within guidelines established by the Naval Hospital. 

 
Provide input to medical board determinations and administrative separations as
requested. 

 Examines, diagnoses, treats or recommends course of management for patients
with mental illness.

 Evaluates and treats outpatients and inpatients using laboratory and clinical
findings to differentiate between contributory causes.

Follows through on cases to ensure treatment effectiveness and alters course of
treatment as indicated.

Collaborate with specialists in other areas on cases involving
multidisciplinary problems.

 Prepares consults on chronic complicated mentally ill patients requiring
complex evaluation and medical decision making to specialists in the hospital
or to other medical facilities.
