FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a community-based health care system located in the Sandhills area of North Carolina.  We are a non-governmental, not-for-profit health care network serving 15 counties in the mid-Carolinas.  FirstHealth currently operates four hospitals with a total of 582 beds, including 45 critical care beds and the new Reid Heart Center.  Our newest facility, Hoke Community Hospital, opened in October, 2013.  The FirstHealth network includes a rehabilitation center, three sleep disorders centers, three dental clinics, eight family care centers, six fitness centers, a laundry, four charitable foundations, a Hospice program, home health services, convenient care services, and an insurance plan.  All major medical and surgical specialties and numerous subspecialties can be found here.

Corporate offices and the flagship Moore Regional Hospital are located in the Village of Pinehurst, home to world-renowned golf facilities and a Village center noted for its quaint New England-style charm.  Its temperate climate and resort atmosphere make the Sandhills a wonderful place in which to live, work and raise a family.  Our central location is an easy drive to the state’s major metropolitan areas, and is only 2.5 hours from the coast and 3 hours to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
