Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) HMO is a health and prevention plan designed for the complete care of members, a combination that makes GHC-SCW the strongest health maintenance organization (HMO) in Madison and Dane County.
The GHC-SCW Board of Directors manage the business affairs of the Cooperative, keeping the mission to provide high quality health care and outstanding service to our members a top priority.
GHC-SCW's high quality care is reflected in our achievement of a 4-star excellent accreditation from NCQA, the National Committee On Quality Assurance. NCQA is the leading independent authority on quality and medical management of health plans nationwide.

Through GHC-SCW, members have access to clinics and physicians in Madison, Dane County, throughout WI and nationally. Each member selects a primary care provider who will coordinate all of their care. GHC-SCW offers primary care physicians who specialize in family practice, internal medicine or pediatrics.
GHC-SCW members in Dane County receive inpatient and specialty care through University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics or St. Marys Hospital.
Health education classes are available through several GHC-SCW clinics. Several classes are free or available to members at a reduced price.
