Holzer Medical Center

For over 100 years, the Holzer name has been woven into the fabric of our community. Holzer is the largest, strongest healthcare system serving south central Ohio into West Virginia. Holzer Health System is a multi-discipline health care system of over 160 Board Certified Physicians providing care in more than 30 areas of medical specialties.

Holzer is affiliated with the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and the CORE (Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education).

Our health care system includes:

• Two hospital locations:
  • 266-bed facility at the main Gallipolis location
  • 25-bed critical access hospital in Jackson, Ohio
• 13 clinical locations in Gallia, Jackson, Athens, Meigs, and Lawrence Counties in Ohio, and in Mason County, West Virginia
• Dental care facility located in Jackson, Ohio
• Assisted Living Facilities located in Gallipolis and Jackson
• Home Care, Extra Care, and Hospice Services throughout the region
• Holzer Cardiovascular Institute located at Holzer Gallipolis
• Holzer Center for Cancer Care, which is located next to the main Holzer facility in Gallipolis, Ohio
• Holzer Family Pharmacy: Three outpatient pharmacies are located inside our facilities in Athens, Gallipolis, and Jackson.
