The Practice

Located in northern California, Redding is the seat of Shasta County, a two hour drive north from Sacramento and three hours west to the coast. A recent influx of retirees from the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles seeking lower-cost living and a more relaxed place of life has shifted the city's economic base toward the service areas of medical, legal, retail and tourism. 

Mercy Medical Center Redding offers the most comprehensive health services in the north state, providing acute care and a full range of special programs to a region made up of several surrounding counties. The emergency department and its Level II trauma center are staffed by board-certified physicians, and an air ambulance service quickly transports patients from even the most remote regions of northern California to receive emergency care and other critical services.
