As an integrated health care provider, we provide exceptional, coordinated health care that spans four core service divisions: hospital-based services, clinic-based services, post-acute care and retail services, and a wholly owned insurance company. Mercyhealth offers over 125 specialty and subspecialty services, including orthopedic surgery, prehospital emergency services and training, neurosurgery, heart and vascular services, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery and much more. When time is of the essence, our trauma centers are equipped with the latest technology and highly trained staff to provide immediate, life-saving care.

We are a leader in obstetric, neonatal and pediatric services. Our new state-of-the-art Javon Bea Hospital—Riverside, which opened in January 2019, is home to northern Illinois’ only state-designated Children’s Hospital, as well as a Regional Perinatal Center. In addition, more than 55 pediatric and neonatal doctors provde the highest level of care in the region in our 52-bed neonatal intensive care unit, Small Baby Unit, and pediatric intensive care unit. Mercyhealth is one of only 10 Pediatric Critical Care Centers and one of six Level II Pediatric Critical Care Centers in in Illinois.
