Midland Memorial Hospital is a 474-bed acute-care facility, and the sole hospital located in Midland County. Since 1950, we have exemplified excellence in patient care, medical education, and community service to Midland, Texas.

Midland is located midway between Dallas/Fort Worth and El Paso on Interstate 20. Twenty minutes to the west is Odessa, with a population of about 100,000. The area's airport services travelers daily, non-stop to Dallas, Houston, Denver, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Midland sits in the center of about 20 percent of America’s oil and gas reserves located in reservoirs deep beneath the surface.

The area’s low humidity, combined with warm days and cool nights, contributes to the year-round comfort of Midlanders. Residents enjoy over 300 sunny days each year allowing playing golf, tennis, hiking, and biking almost every day.

Midland is only a few hours drive from the dramatic scenery of Big Bend National Park, the underground splendor of Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, and the natural beauty of the Guadalupe and Davis Mountains. The ski slopes of Colorado and New Mexico are within driving distance, and the twelve lakes that are within a 150-mile radius of Midland provide a variety of opportunities for water lovers.
