Position Summary:
Veterans Engineering is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologists to support the Orlando VA Health Care System at the Viera Outpatient Clinic. Contracted physicians will be responsible for delivering high-quality endoscopic procedures and outpatient GI care to our nation’s Veterans in accordance with VA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 10 to 12 endoscopic procedures per day, Monday through Thursday.
• Provide Gastroenterology clinic services on Fridays, evaluating approximately:
• 8 patients in the morning session
• 6 patients in the afternoon session
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopies.
• Document all patient interactions, procedures, and findings accurately within the VA’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with nursing, administrative, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Adhere to all applicable VA protocols, infection control measures, and quality standards.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: Procedure-focused days (endoscopy)
• Friday: Outpatient clinic visits

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
• Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory
• Prior experience with high-volume endoscopic procedures strongly preferred
• Familiarity with VA medical centers and federal healthcare delivery systems is a plus
