Oyate Health Center

The Oyate Health Center is a tribally-owned primary care clinic based in Rapid City, SD, focused on providing the highest standards of care for tribal-citizens.  Their mission is to improve the wellness of our relatives by providing quality healthcare, public health, and advocacy in partnership with the tribal-nations of the great plains.  Currently, the Oyate Health Center is located in the Sioux San Hospital building in west Rapid City. Originally constructed in 1938 as a facility for treating Native patients with tuberculosis, the brick-and-stone building has been updated and renovated over the years.    

The Oyate Health Center is a walk-in primary care clinic and urgent care managed by the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board.  The services they offer:
