Elevating Healthcare in Santa Fe
To increase choice and expand access to care for residents of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, Presbyterian Healthcare Services opened a new medical center in the fall of 2018 on the south side of Santa Fe. Located near the intersection of I-25 and Cerrillos Raod, Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center provides a wide range of services focused on improving quality, enhancing the patient experience and lowering the total cost of care.
Services and Features
The 342,000-square-foot medical center will offer:
- 30 private inpatient beds featuring a spacious design and views of the surrounding landscape
- A six-bed family birthing unit complete with four labor-delivery-recovery suites and two surgical suites
- a 24/7 Emergency Department and urgent care with an innovative, shared triage entrance to help patients access the appropriate level of care.
- Diagnostic laboratory testing and imaging services, including CT and MRI
- Surgery and procedure suites for outpatient and short-stay surgeries
- A rehabilitation facility offering physical, occupational and speech therapies as well as cardiac pulmonary rehabilitation
- Specialty medical services both at the medical center and at our Presbyterian Medical Group clinic on St. Michael's Drive. Physician and advanced practice clinician specialties include anesthesiology, behavioral health, cardiology, emergency medicine, endocrinology, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, and pathology lab, pediatrics, podiatry, pulmonology, radiology, urology, and others.
- Telemedicine access to critical care, behavioral health and other specialties within the Presbyterian system
- A hiking and biking trail that connects to miles of trails in the Las Soleras development
- A healing pathway with special features for contemplation, relaxation, and well-being
- A cafeteria, gift shop, chapel, meeting spaces and a community demonstration kitchen, all available to the public
- A rooftop healing garden adjacent to the inpatient floor
- Ambulances standing by- traditional ground ambulance service and a helicopter on-site- to transport patients to another Presbyterian hospital or other medical facility if highly specialized care is needed
- Numerous green building practices to increase energy efficiency and reduce water consumption
