Riverview Regional Medical Center

Located in Gadsden, Riverview Regional Medical Center serves more than 350,000 residents and is Etowah County’s First Accredited Chest Pain Center. The hospital, originally named Holy Name of Jesus Hospital, was founded in 1926 by the Sisters of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity, a Catholic order established in Opelika, Alabama in the 1900s. Riverview is by far the most advanced hospital in the area and has a newly renovated Emergency Department.
Riverview Regional Medical Center is centrally located in downtown Gadsden adjacent to Moragne Park and the Coosa River. The area offers a majestic landscape, beautiful mountains and crystal clear lakes.
