Cottage Health is a not-for-profit system that has been providing advanced medical care for patients throughout California for more than 125 years.

The Birth Center rooms offer state-of-the art equipment, and the surgical suites include two operating rooms specifically for obstetrics and a post-anesthesia recovery room. Nurse-midwives are on staff, and the hospital houses a Perinatal Center led by a maternal-fetal medicine specialist.

Santa Barbara Cottage is a designated Baby-Friendly® hospital. The facility currently sees 2,400 annual deliveries.

Santa Barbara, known as 'the American Riviera,' is a city on the central California coast, near the scenic Santa Ynez Mountains. The area is famous for its Spanish colonial heritage, iconic white stucco buildings with red tile roofs, and broad, sandy beaches. Upscale boutiques and restaurants serving local wines line State Street downtown.
