Southeast Georgia Health System-Camden Campus - The Camden hospital is a newly renovated and expanded 40 bed care center located in St. Mary’s and offers a new critical care unit, with telemetry. The recent expansion project added 90,000 square feet to the facility and affected virtually every department in the hospital. The additions included two new generously sized and equipped operating rooms, with the opportunity to expand to four, a new, greatly expanded Emergency Care Center, a new Maternity Care Center, and new areas for rehabilitation, imaging and outpatient services. Our Camden Campus was voted Best Small Hospital in Georgia for 2010 by the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals. The medical staff includes more than 130 physicians representing many major medical specialties, plus a full support staff of health care professionals.
Camden County is home to approimately 60,000 residents in it's towns, €Woodbine, Kingsland and St. Marys. Waverly, Tarboro, White Oak, Colesburg, Dover Bluff, and Harriett’s Bluff . It is a wonderful place to live and raise a family and close to Jacksonville or Brunswick. It is an embracing town and full of many young families as it is home to Kings Bay Submarine Base. With its unique location between two major ports (Brunswick, GA and Jacksonville, FL) and proximity to Interstate 95 it is slated to grow and be used for processing and disbursement of the good shipped to the ports. All of Camden County's schools are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The district has been named a SACS "Super District" for the last three years. Our Pre-Kindergarten program has been awarded "Accreditation with Quality" by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
