UHS Binghamton General Hospital is a Level II trauma center with 450 beds and part of the United Health Services (UHS) system.
UHS Binghamton Hospital provides general medical clinic services such as surgical, rehabilitative, and emergency care to the people of greater Binghamton (estimated population of 235,000+).
UHS is the largest healthcare system and leading private employer in the Greater Binghamton region. As a locally owned, not-for-profit, 916-bed system, it serves more than 300,000 residents in the Southern Tier of New York and portions of Northeast Pennsylvania. The members of the UHS system are UHS Hospitals, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, UHS Senior Living at Ideal and UHS Home Care. Affiliates of the system are the UHS Medical Group and the UHS Foundation.
The UHS Medical Group is a professional corporation and multi-specialty group medical practice consisting of over 450 practitioners. The group is affiliated with UHS, the community’s regional leader in healthcare. The physicians and other providers encompass a number of medical and surgical specialties at locations throughout Broome, Chenango, Otsego and Tioga Counties.
As a teaching hospital, we train over 75 physicians per year in residency and fellowship programs.
