Join the Prisma Health Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI), where you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and education. HVI is the largest Cardiovascular program in South Carolina, featuring over 220 providers. Our two flagship hospitals, Greenville Memorial Hospital & Richland Heart Hospital, are home to comprehensive and innovative services for cardiothoracic, vascular and cardiac care. As an integrated health network, we have the tools and the abilities to provide seamless care throughout the patient’s journey. As the clinical faculty for The University of South Carolina School of Medicine, our active GME program supports both Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery Fellowships. Our HVI clinical research team currently supports more than 40 clinical trials.
At Prisma Health you will collaborate with a dynamic team of APPs and nurses to care for cardiology patients, both in the ambulatory and inpatient settings. Our Richland Heart Hospital is a 160-bed fully dedicated cardiac hospital with cardiac ICU, Cath/EP labs and ORs housed in it. We also have an active outpatient cath lab attached to the hospital along with our cardiology clinics. Imaging modalities include Echocardiography, TEE, Nuclear, CT, Cardiac MRI, and Cardiac PET.

Prisma Health Cardiology consists of 36 cardiologists with service line specialties including advanced heart failure, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, sleep medicine, cardiac imaging and general cardiology. We have an accredited general Cardiology Fellowship program with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
