Portneuf Medical Group is hiring a  BC/BE Trauma Surgeon to join their well-established surgical group based in beautiful Pocatello, Idaho. With ten multi-specialty surgeons and six advanced practice providers, the department of surgery at the Level II Trauma Portneuf Medical Center (205-bed) is among the most highly regarded surgical services teams in the region. 

About this Trauma Surgeon Job Opening:

• Inpatient, Hospital-Employed Position
• Join a group of 10  Surgeons, 6 Advanced Practice Providers, and support staff
• Clinic Schedule: 2-3 days per week
• Dedicated OR Block Time
• Access to the latest technology in the OR
• DaVinci robotics system
• 10-15 patient encounters while on call
• Ten 24 hr. Shifts per Month
• Dedicated Trauma Service for patient admits
• Hospital offers specialty support, including Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, and fully staffed ICU/Hospitalist Services
• Call: 1:10  rotation, at-home 
• Some APP supervisory responsibilities
• Some resident and/or medical student rotations
• Excellent work - life balance
• Potential Medical Directorship Opportunity is available for experienced applicants
• EMR: Epic

Minimum Qualifications

• ABS BC/BE  in General Surgery
• Surgery Fellowship Training  in Trauma, Critical Care, and/or Acute Care 
• Experienced and Graduating Trauma Surgeons are encouraged to apply!
