Wakulla Correctional Institution Continuum of Care Unit near Tallahassee, Florida ~ Provide inpatient psychiatric services within this state-of-the-art male correctional institution utilizing some of the most innovative programing and use of specialize Residential Mental Health Units to assist those with serious mental illness.
We are expanding our psychiatric services throughout the state, and we are seeking highly qualified Psychiatrists at locations near: Tallahassee, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Ocala, and Miami, Florida. Positions with Centurion of Florida offer something for everyone including: reception and outpatient services, inpatient services with teaching and mentoring opportunity to train psychiatric residents, as well as consultation-liaison opportunities within a large correctional hospital treating patients with complex comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. Requirements
Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program required.
Current license to practice medicine in Florida required.
Board Certification or Board Eligible for certification in Psychiatry.
Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate.
Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit is a plus.
