Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Job at Methodist Health System, Dallas, Texas in Dallas, TX

Exciting new opportunity for an experienced BC Cardiothoracic surgeon to join an established hospital-based practice comprised of two other CT surgeons and four experienced CT PA’s.  Your practice will be based at Methodist Charlton Medical Center with support from your partners at other Methodist Health System hospitals. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience post-fellowship and training and proficiency in minimally invasive techniques including valve repair and replacement to support and grow our existing program. Charlton is also committed to growing a thriving heart failure program.

Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314 bed, modern teaching and community hospital serving southwest Dallas County since 1975.  The hospital has been consistently named one of the nation's top performers on key quality measures and is also certified as a Chest Pain Center by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America.  Charlton has received the Platinum Performance Achievement Award for excellence in heart attack care from the American College of Cardiology.  The hospital’s comprehensive cardiology program includes open heart surgery, full-service diagnostic and interventional procedures including a busy STEMI program, TR-PCI and implantable defibrillators. A newly renovated state of the art 32 bed Intensivist-staffed ICU features some of the latest equipment and technology. A new surgery suite includes a designated operating room designed for heart surgery.  A new EP lab was added in the fall of 2019. Additionally, there is a comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Charlton certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.  A new ED opened in the Fall of 2022.  Incoming physician will be employed by Methodist Medical Group, a collection of primary care and specialist providers meeting the needs of the patients in the communities we serve.
