Outstanding opportunity to join a highly successful physician owned, multi-specialty group in beautiful Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Regional Obstetrical Consultants is seeking a BC/BE OB Hospitalist to add to their team of talented physicians. 

This opportunity has the potential for academic appointment eligibility commiserate with training and experience.  The qualified candidate will exhibit and provide the following essential functions.

  Mentoring, teaching, and supervising with our OB-GYN Residents.

  Provide patient evaluation and triage of emergent and urgent obstetrics patients seen in the OBED and admitted directly to Labor and Delivery as requested.

  Manage care of all obstetrical patients presenting at Labor and Delivery, OBED, and hospitalized patients who do not have a private  attending OB physician available.

  Assisting private attending OB physicians and hospital medical staff with their Labor and Delivery patients who present at the hospital facility.

  Dedicated to OB practice, no GYN responsibilities.

  Collaborate with community OB/GYN physicians and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists.

  Facilitation of efficient collaboration and communication as part of a Valued Team.

  Focused on patient safety and quality initiatives.

  Empowerment of team members using clear, well-coordinated objectives in the actionable plan of care while holding staff and residents accountable for their responsibility in achieving the set-forth objectives.

  Protocol establishment and quality metric participation.

Our OB Hospitalist group provides 24/7 on-site coverage for Labor and Delivery at Erlanger Baroness Hospital Downtown and Erlanger East Hospital. Physicians will work 24-hour shifts with direct handoff to OB Hospitalist physician team members.  No on-call responsibilities, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

Qualifications:

  Board Certification is required within 2 years of employment.

  Graduate of an accredited OB/GYN program.

  Tennessee licensure and DEA required.
