Psychiatry: High Acuity Inpatient Unit / Emergency Department

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is actively recruiting a psychiatrist interested in providing coverage for a new high acuity adult inpatient unit with a 5-bed capacity. Depending on applicant interest/preference, potential exists for collateral work in the Emergency Department or outpatient settings.  We are working with community partners to redesign behavioral health services in our community and are seeking applicants interested in program building and education/training.   Interest in population health and integrated care models is welcome.

Clinical duties may include any combination of inpatient, emergency department, consult liaison, or outpatient. We work with interested applicants to develop a position that is fulfilling and sustainable.  Behavioral Health Services is robust and expanding with a fully accredited psychiatry residency program.

• Full-time psychiatrist to work within a dynamic, reputable, and growing Behavioral Health Service Line
• Passion for teaching, mentoring and lifelong learning
• As noted, interest in Population Health and Integrated Care models is especially welcome
• Additional onsite accredited residency programs in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and General Surgery
• Clinical activity will reflect an individually negotiated blend of applicant interest/passion
• Interest in delivery of new and innovative care models is also most welcome
• Share in a 1:8 weekend call rotation with days-off compensated one-to-one

Minimum Education

• Graduate of a medical school.
• Graduate of an ACGME or AOA training program.
• Current certification in the specialty

Preferred Experience

• One year experience working as a licensed psychiatrist preferred but will enthusiastically entertain newer graduates with passion for these areas of need and determined to be a good fit for the team.
