Ozarks Healthcare is a 114-bed Joint Commission accredited regional referral facility, servicing approximately 180,000 population in a nine-county area in south central Missouri and north central Arkansas. Over 100 active physicians are on the medical staff comprised of half primary care and half specialists. A number of services not normally found in rural areas are provided. For example, we have exceptionally strong programs in areas of interventional and non-interventional cardiology, obstetrics, urology, orthopedic/spine and general surgery. Additionally, Ozarks Healthcare provides medical and radiation oncology services and has extensive outreach programs consisting of 23 physician-staffed health clinics plus very active home health, home care, and hospice programs.

Our hospital broke ground in June 2019 on the biggest expansion ever to our facility.  The expansion is based on providing convenience for patients by placing more services under one roof. The location of the expansion connects the existing Shaw Medical Building and the current main hospital building housing almost all of Ozarks Healthcare’s specialty clinics and ancillary services to one location, creating a centralized space for patients. Specifically, the new construction of more than 120,000 square feet    includes the construction of a new medical office building, flexible clinics, procedure suite, centralized imaging facilities, an updated pharmacy, a new food service area and a Starbucks. In addition, our  new 20,000 square foot Women's Center houses modern labor and delivery rooms, gynecological surgery facilities and educational spaces.

These additions allow the facility to better serve more than 180,000 residents in South Central Missouri and Northern Arkansas, who prefer to stay close to home to utilize quality healthcare services. As confirmed by a federally required Community Health Needs Assessment, Ozarks Healthcare continues to grow its facilities, services and the Ozarks Healthcare Medical Group to align with the needs of the residents to improve the overall health of those they serve.
