The Opportunity

Winter Haven Women's Hospital is dedicated to the unique needs of women and newborns with state-of-the-art medical technology and a comforting, family-centered environment.

The facility offers a full range of obstetric and gynecological services, a comfortable Mom and Baby Unit, a Level II NICU and an innovative Breast and Imaging Center.

The hospital offers education for new mothers and families including car seat inspections, birth center tours, breastfeeding classes, prepared childbirth classes, sibling classes and babysitting classes.

Position:

OB/GYN Hospitalist- FT, PT, (Travel Available)

OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalist are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.

This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYN's with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

A day in the life includes:

  • Caring for all pregnant women who present emergently, regardless of circumstance
  • Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel
  • Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance
  • Caring for unassigned patients
  • Evaluating and treating triage patients
  • Providing consultation to the ED
  • Monitoring labor
  • Delivering babies
  • Performing surgery and surgical assistance
  • Evaluating and treating postpartum patients
  • Providing nurse support and education
