Job Description

Erie County Medical Center Corp is an advanced medical center located in Buffalo, NY providing coverage for the eight (8) counties of Western New York, Southern Ontario and Northern PA. ECMCC is verified by ACOS and NYSDOH as a Level 1 Trauma Center with 573 inpatient beds. ECMCC is als  the regional center for burn care and transplantation. As a collaborative partner in the Great Lakes Cancer Care network, ECMCC  works in tandem with Kaleida Health and 6 other partner affiliates.

ECMC seeks an experienced candidate to join a team composed of a board- certified cardiologists, APP's, and a strong support staff.  Candidate would work in partnership with other hospital service lines including:

  • Critical care
  • Primary care
  • Hospitalist group
  • Emergency department
  • Diagnostic cardiac catheterization

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Candidate will provide inpatient coverage and call, outpatient E&M and cardiac testing services.
  • Includes weekday and weekend call coverage.
  • Cardiac testing includes EKG, Echo, Stress test. May include more as agreed upon.
  • Cardiac CT reading is available.
  • Training for cardiac CT can be arranged.
  • Effectively communicate recommendations with attending providers
  • Clearly communicate goals related to cardiac health to patient and family.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary model of care.
  • Provide educator and preceptor role to advance practice providers, medical students, fellows, and students rotating on care service.
  • Assist in quality improvement and educational initiatives as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range $400,000-$515,000*
  • RVU productivity in addition

*Base rate is not inclusive of productivity and quality incentives that service line specific positions may qualify for in their department. Signing, retention and relocation bonuses may also be available and would also be in addition to base salary compensation. The pay range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of posting. When determining pay, several factors will be considered including but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
