Physician – Interventional Cardiologist – Cooperstown, NY
Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our staff.
The faculty practice consists of 15 cardiologists, 2 cardiac surgeons, and 18 advanced practice clinicians. We have an active coronary interventional program with over 500 interventions yearly, as well as busy EP, structural and open heart programs. It is a teaching program with 2 new cardiologist fellows each year.
The role will include diagnostic catheterization, coronary interventions, and outpatient clinical practice. An interest in TEE or coronary CT would be welcomed, as would an interest in starting a PERT program. Interventional call is currently one in three with a goal of 4 full-time internationalists. Our cardiac cath labs have a busy schedule of diagnostic and interventional coronary cases, as well as structural heart disease including percutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVR), left atrial appendage closure, and patent foramen ovale closure.

Cooperstown is a vibrant upstate community set in a bucolic lake-front village with four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. Basset has a combined medical student campus with Columbia University, as well as an internal medicine residency.
