Outpatient Duties

• Conduct Comprehensive Eye Exams
• Diagnose and Manage Eye Conditions
• Prescribe Corrective Lenses and Medications
• Perform Minor Office-Based Procedures
• Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests
• Patient Education and Counseling
• Coordinate Care with Other Providers
• Maintain Accurate Medical Records

Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Duties/Procedures

• Perform Ophthalmic Surgeries
• Pre-Operative Assessments
• Post-Operative Care
• Work with Surgical Staff
• Ensure Compliance with Surgical Protocols

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Ophthalmology
• Valid and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain) in the practicing state of NY
• DEA license (for prescribing medications, if applicable)
• Strong clinical and surgical skills relevant to the position
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and ethical standards
