Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a 762-bed institution, is currently seeking a full-time Inpatient Staff Physician for our specialized Inpatient Oncology unit.
Our Inpatient Staff Physician team works in close conjunction with the attending oncology physician to provide day-to-day management for complex and acutely ill cancer patients.
Inpatient Staff Physicians work in the context of a multidisciplinary team with dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, child life, PT/OT, and nursing.
In addition to the challenging and dynamic clinical experience, inpatient staff physicians have opportunities to participate in quality improvement, clinical guideline development and implementation, resident and medical student education, and clinical research.
The Division of Oncology is among the Leading Edge Specialized Multidisciplinary Cancer Clinical Programs. Our cancer programs, including our Advanced Cancer Therapies Center and the Cancer Survivor Center, are ranked #1 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
The schedule includes day and night shifts in addition to weekend and holiday rotations. A position as a full-time or part-time Nocturnist is also an option. A Nocturnist position carries financial incentives beyond the combined day and night-shift position.
An MD, or DO, applicants should be board-eligible/certified in pediatrics or medicine/pediatrics. Hematology/Oncology training or Oncology background is not required. Training is provided. Obtaining an Ohio Medical License is required.
