Job Description

Come join our busy and collaborative OB/GYN team in delivering direct patient care for OB/GYN patients at our Hastings. This clinic is located in the historic river town at the junction of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers and nearby Vermillion River Falls Clinic. The community offers a small-town charm, while being conveniently located near the Saint Paul/Minneapolis area.

Principle Responsibilities

  1. Provides direct care for obstetric and gynecology patients in areas of general medicine, the reproductive system, pregnancy and childbirth.
  2. Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  3. Practices in a thoughtful manner, including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
  4. Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  5. Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.

Practice details:

  1. Eight labor and delivery locations; 13,800 deliveries/year; 30 clinics; 53 OBGYNs; 21 OB Hospitalists; 13 Clinical Nurse Midwives; 11 Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists; 2 Fetal Interventionalists.
  2. Nursing Support programs for Rx refills, triage and pap results
  3. After hours answering service support
  4. Quaternary hospital: Abbott Northwestern, Lv IV NICU; Tertiary hospitals - Mercy and United with level III NICUs, and 6 regional hospitals
  5. Mentorship/learning from a group of 80+ providers across our health system
  6. Integrative Medicine collaboration, Perinatal Mental Health Consultants and Uro/Gyn APP support

Job Requirements

  1. MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  2. BE/BC with ABMS or AOA in OBGYN required
  3. Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  4. Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  5. Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
  6. Licensed Physician - WI if applicable
  7. BLS within 180 days of hire
  8. Hastings Clinic with option for River Falls coverage
