Academic Opportunities
Bayhealth Medical Center is looking for an experienced surgeon with academic experience for the position of Program Director of our General Surgery Residency Program. We also have residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. We just "matched" for our gastroenterology fellowship that is in its inaugural year; we are in the second year of the hem/onc fellowship, and anticipate adding another fellowship next year.
In addition to leadership of the General Surgery Residency Program the selected candidate would join a hospital based group of general surgeons in Dover. Bayhealth Kent Campus is in the process of scaling our trauma designation from a Level III to a Level II Trauma Center. The position would entail general surgery, trauma call and the opportunity to develop any other special interests you may have. Our ED at Kent currently sees 53,000+ visits per year.
