Job Description

Embark on a leadership journey as the  Division Chief of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology at the University of Rochester Medical Center's  Department of Neurology. As the Division Chief, you will lead established programs and set a bold vision for continued success. Engage in direct patient care, contribute to clinical, research, education, and community missions, and collaborate with neurology research centers. 

Commit to  fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion  through recruitment, education, and mentorship. Mentor the next generation of Academic Neurologists, embracing the values of the biopsychosocial model of care.

Department of Neurology - Division of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Neuroimmunology:

  • Be part of one of the most prominent academic clinical departments in the country.
  • Join a dynamic department of 125 faculty members, 25 advanced practice providers, 60 residents and fellows, and 280 staff.
  • Contribute to cutting-edge research and be at the forefront of gene therapies and promising new treatments.
  • Lead the Division of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology, providing state-of-the-art neurological care with an emphasis on access, quality, and equity.
  • Work alongside 8 faculty physicians, 3 advanced practice providers, 3 nurses, and a social worker.
  • Oversee a growing number of regional infusion centers, managing 900+ patients and 3283 infusion appointments annually.
  • Be part of an internationally renowned division with a focus on experimental therapeutics, novel immunotherapies, and autoimmune basis of neurological diseases.

Education is at our core:

  • Contribute to benchmark programs with national prominence, including the Mind, Brain, and Behavior course and Neurology Clerkship.
  • Participate in the success of Adult and Child Neurology Residency programs with match rates well over twice the national average.
  • We offer 12 fellowship programs, including a nationally known MS Clinical Care Physician Fellowship.

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
