Job Description

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, in partnership with North Alabama Shoals Hospital (NASH), is seeking a BC/BE Medical Director for our Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This full-time role involves collaborating with the Program Director and clinical team to deliver compassionate care in our 32-bed semi-private unit. Additional opportunities include performing EMGs for two hospitals in North Alabama.

Qualifications:

MD/DO required.
Residency training in Physiatry/PM&R or Internal Medicine.
Must possess or be eligible for an Alabama medical license.
Minimum 2 years of training or experience in inpatient rehab medical management.

About the Facility: North Alabama Shoals Hospital (NASH), founded in 1968, is a 178-bed general acute and specialty care facility offering spacious private rooms for all acute patients. Key features include a 24-hour emergency department, medical/surgical services, inpatient units, a medical detox unit, and short-stay surgery units. NASH also operates the region’s only inpatient acute rehabilitation facility (J.W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit), a 30-bed Shoals Senior Care Center (dedicated to senior psychiatric care), and a 20-bed Acute Adult Psychiatric Unit. The hospital is home to a Psychiatric Residency Program, further enhancing its commitment to comprehensive care.
