Job Description

TeamHealth in partnership with Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center has an opening for an EM Ultrasound Director 

St. Joseph's Medical Center is a busy, high acuity community hospital with an annual ED volume of approximately 100k in a diverse, underserved region.  St. Joseph's also has a newer and already robust emergency medicine residency program.  The core faculty team consists of dedicated, academically focused, physician educators, many of whom are sub-specialty trained, including US, toxicology, and simulation medicine.

TeamHealth is currently seeking an Ultrasound Director who will oversee a future Ultrasound Fellowship Program Director.   

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a supply of durable medical equipment and identifying maintenance needs for equipment.
  • Ultrasound Quality Assurance 
  • Organizing faculty and fellows to attend networking events
  • Oversee the ultrasound education program through teaching and EM didactics
  • Continuing expansion of ultrasound education to other residency specialties
  • Oversee the Ultrasound Fellowship Director and faculty to ensure effective fellowship

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in the American Board of Emergency Medicine
  • Completed an Ultrasound Fellowship
  • Be board eligible for Focused Practice Designation (FPD) in Advanced Emergency
  • Medicine Ultrasonography (AEMUS)
  • Experience in ultrasonography administration
