The AccessHealth OBGYN department is located in Beckley, West Virginia. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Obstetrician-Gynecologists (OBGYN) to join our new state-of-the-art facility set to open in 2024. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), in accordance with the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act (FSHCAA), deemed Community Health Systems, Inc. dba AccessHealth to be an employee of the PHS. The PHS Act provides liability protection under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA). Medical malpractice coverage is confirmed for both Community Health Systems, Inc. dba AccessHealth and its covered individuals.
Responsibilities:
Provides medical care in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
Conduct thorough medical assessments and examinations of women's reproductive health, including obstetric, gynecological, and general health conditions.
Manage and oversee the entire childbirth process, from labor and delivery to postpartum care for both mother and baby.
Perform surgical procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and laparoscopies, as necessary.
Educate patients on reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, treatments, and prescribed medications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Valid medical license to practice as an OBGYN.
Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current medical practices in obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
