Hematology/ Oncology at the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center is located in Lynchburg, Virginia and is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified physician to join a group of diverse and passionate providers. The group is the community's #1 most referred practice.
The recently renovated 75,000+ square foot Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, brings all comprehensive cancer services under one roof. Along with our excellent support from pathologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, interventional radiologists, general surgeons and subspecialists. Our onsite genetic counselor provides comprehensive genetic counseling and testing. Patients are enrolled in NSABP and NCI cancer clinical trials. Alan B Pearson Regional Cancer Center has a QOPI, CoC and NAPBC Accreditation.
You Can Expect:
70% Clinical 30% Administrative
M-F; No Weekends, No Major Holidays except on call
Team 1 MD :1 APP goal
Call 1:7, Hospitalist for inpatient admissions
Satellite office rounding
Comprehensive labs with same day turnaround
EMR: Clinic Varian, Hospital Cerner
Strong support from executive leadership, including physician leadership training programs
Administratively:
Supports, leads and models the vision, mission and values of Centra
Provides strategic system leadership for Centra Hematology Oncology Clinic
May oversee and provide evidence-based process improvement recommendations to ensure quality of care
Participates in the development of policies and guidelines (clinical and administrative) to correct and improve service to the Client/Community
