PEDIATRIC GASTROENTEROLOGY
NORTON CHILDREN’S GASTROENTEROLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and part of Norton Children’s Medical Group, is seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric gastroenterologist to join our growing team of three physicians, three nurse practitioners, a registered dietitian and a licensed clinical social worker. The selected candidate will deliver a combination of inpatient and outpatient care at the 300-bed Norton Children’s Hospital and two local outpatient clinics. In collaboration with pediatric specialists in surgery, pulmonology, allergy, and ear, nose and throat, we offer multidisciplinary care for aerodigestive disorders and eosinophilic esophagitis, with plans to expand to other conditions.
The position includes a faculty appointment at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, with the opportunity to explore quality improvement, clinical research, translational research, medical education, child advocacy or community engagement. Norton Children’s Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, offers broad support for every stage of research, including study design and statistical analysis. Norton Children’s Gastroenterology providers are active participants in the ImproveCareNow network, a community of clinicians, researchers and families working together for children with Crohn’s disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
Norton Children’s Gastroenterology is home to specialists with a wide variety of backgrounds and areas of focus. We are looking for a collaborative physician to join our skilled team in providing comprehensive patient care for a broad range of gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems.

THE POSITIONS
· Opportunities for expanded research, teaching and clinical program involvement at the University of Louisville and its residency program
· Full-time position with work/life balance supported by standard outpatient clinic schedule and shared call coverage split among physician team
· Perform surgical procedures, including endoscopy and colonoscopy
· Ongoing quality improvement efforts for inpatient and outpatient clinical services
· Faculty appointment with competitive salary and academic rank commensurate with experience
