Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our staff.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

Job Description & Responsibilities

The Department of Psychiatry includes the Division of Inpatient Psychiatry (14-bed acute Inpatient Psychiatry unit, consults with Med-Surg inpatients at several affiliate hospitals, and consults with the Emergency Departments), and the Division of Outpatient Psychiatry (OMH-licensed clinic in Cooperstown, NY) with satellites throughout the Bassett Network and extensive Tele psychiatry services
A diverse psychiatric team of MDs, PMHNPs, and Therapists.
Responsible for psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Prescribe and manage medications
NP collaboration/supervision
Occasional consultation coverage including tele-psych to other hospitals in the network
Combination of tele-psych and in-person coverage
Inpatient call no more than 1:5 weekdays and 1 weekend per month
Interaction with medical students as well as Internal Medicine and Transitional residents
EPIC – EMR
Bassett Medical Center is a designated National Health Services Corp Site.
Salary Range: $295,008 - $330,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good-faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000
