The Opportunity

Pulse Heart Institute is seeking a skilled advanced Heart Failure specialist, preferably with Mechanical Circulatory Support expertise to join our team. Our Heart Failure program is well-established and recognized for providing high-quality, comprehensive care and advanced cardiac therapies to our community and the Pacific Northwest region. We are a credentialed, well-established LVAD program with excellent clinical outcomes (consistently at or above national benchmarks). Our team includes dedicated professionals such as Heart Failure Certified Cardiologists, LVAD Surgeon, large pool of advanced Heart Failure APPs, VAD Coordinators, and Social Workers.

FTE: 1.0 Shift: Days Schedule: M-F

Base salary: $517,801.00 plus performance bonus, production bonus and call pay

Position Summary
As a provider within our physician governed cardiovascular institute you ll find everything you need to excel in your job with talented teammates sharing your commitment to quality patient care. The administrative team within Pulse Heart Institute is here to partner with you to provide a high value system of health care to our community and across the Pacific Northwest. You will be joining a highly regarded and well established collegial team. Our team of general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, EP s,advanced heart failure, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons work in a highly collaborative environment to provide the best possible patient care.

1. VADs: We have been a well-established LVAD program with excellent clinical outcomes for 15 years. Our durable LVAD volume is on average 15-20/year. We also utilize temporary LVAD use includes the use of surgical/percutaneous Impella and VA ECMO. 
2. The position includes inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities. In the outpatient setting, we have a busy heart failure clinic and cardiomyopathy specialities including (1) Pulmonary Hypertension (2) Cardiac Amyloid/Sarcoid/Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (3) Cardiomems Program (4) LVAD/Advanced Cardiomyopathy Clinic. There is the opportunity for further outpatient programmatic development if interested. 
3. We cover 2 main hospitals and 2 main clinics-Tacoma and Puyallup. We are part of a larger 5 hospital CV shock network in South Puget Sound. 
4. The call on average would be 1 week per month. The physician is second call (back up) to a primary ARNP taking first call.  3-5 times per year you actually get called in overnight at most. We have a robust ICU team (relieves burden).

Requirements

• BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure
• Proficient in ECMO, HMIII, short-term Mechanical support strategies, cardioMEMS, and pulmonary hypertension
• Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
