Job Summary:
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seekingEmergency Medicine Physiciansto join our team in our main Emergency Department in Fort Pierce and free-standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach.
Qualified Candidates
- Must be board certified or board eligible thru the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
- Must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Must have completed an EM Residency and Board Certified within 5 years
- Covers Vero Beach FSED 2-3 times a month mixed in with schedule at main ED

Emergency Department Profile
- Level II Trauma Center
- 100,000 ED visits per year
- 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds
- 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
- 2.0 pph
- 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)
- 60 hours of APP coverage
- 26% admission rate
- Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
- Interventional cardiac cath
- Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
- Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound
- 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
- No floor code or consult responsibilities
