Join Our Established & Supportive Team at Riverside Health System – Newport News, VA
Riverside Health is actively seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician to join our well-established and respected OB/GYN Residency Program as Core Faculty. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a program with a rich history and strong institutional support, focused on educating the next generation of physicians while improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Our community-based, ACGME-accredited OB/GYN Residency Program has been a cornerstone of our educational mission since the 1970s. We welcome faculty who are passionate about academic medicine, committed to evidence-based care, and enthusiastic about mentoring residents and medical students.
Accredited ACGME OB/GYN Residency Program with Osteopathic Recognition 12 residents total – 3 per PGY year 2,400 deliveries/year, 12 L&D rooms, 22 private postpartum rooms, 2 dedicated OB ORs Precept residents in clinic, L&D, and the OR at Riverside Regional Medical Center – a 450-bed trauma center Serve a diverse, medically underserved population Access to an advanced Simulation Center to support surgical, procedural, and L&D skill development Collaborate with a dedicated Program Director and a team of passionate core faculty Robust partnerships with VCOM, VCU, and EVMS for medical student education Ongoing faculty development and academic career support EPIC links all inpatient and outpatient locations Competitive AMGA-based compensation model Full benefits package including paid malpractice with tail, CME allowance, PTO, and relocation support Eligible for Federal Loan Repayment and additional loan assistance opportunities Training stipend available for early sign-on Riverside Health is a nonprofit, physician-led, integrated health network serving the southeastern Virginia region for over 100 years.
