West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery are recruiting a neurosurgeon to practice at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. We will offer a full service neurosurgery practice at Wheeling Hospital. We continue to expand, and the demand for our services is high. Two WVU Medicine neurosurgeons are currently in the practice, and they have a clinical faculty appointment among the 26 neurosurgeons that constitute the Department of Neurosurgery. The region will expand a Level 2 neurotrauma service over the next few years in connection with the tertiary neurosurgical services provided in Morgantown, WV, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Additional training in neurotrauma or critical care will be advantageous, although not required. Wheeling Hospital is continuing to invest and grow support for trauma and critical care services in addition to general neurosurgical spine care in the region.
