Position Overview:
Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Providence Holy Family Hospital are seeking a dedicated and board-certified Gastroenterologist to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring both outpatient and inpatient care responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care in a collaborative and supportive environment, with a focus on both clinical excellence and patient-centered service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders.
- Conduct patient evaluations, perform endoscopic procedures, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in on-call coverage as needed, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and holistic patient care.
- Engage in both hospital rounding and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Epic EMR system.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology preferred.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a diverse patient population.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Hospital/surgery center privileges required.
- No admissions required.
Practice Setting:
- Clinical Hours: Scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage.
- Patients Per Shift: Approximately 12.
- Rounding: Both inpatient and outpatient rounding responsibilities.
- EMR System: Epic.
Licensure and Certification:
- Licensure: No specific state license required to bid.
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS.
- Certifications Not Required: ABLS, ATLS, PALS.
