The Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System (OCVAHCS) is actively recruiting a board-certified, board-eligible full-time permanent hospital employed Cardiologist to join our Cardiology department. The Cardiology Physician is accountable to the Chief of Cardiology Service. The Cardiologist participates in inpatient and outpatient care related to cardiovascular diseases at the OKC VA, including outpatient diagnostic testing and non-invasive procedures. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to calls and residents/fellow education and training, and preceptorship to APRNs and PAs. Candidates will have experience and training in advanced heart failure management, novel advanced pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities. Candidates will apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance, and management of cardiovascular diseases. Additional duties include;
The OCVAMC is located in Oklahoma City, OK and is the flagship for the Oklahoma VA Health Care System (OCVAHCS) - a Joint Commission-accredited, referral level 1b (medium complexity) facility. The Cardiology department serves patients across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care for more than 70,000 veterans in an area that includes 48 counties in Oklahoma and 2 counties in North Central Texas. Work Schedule.
Full-time, Monday-Friday 08:00-4:30
U.S. Citizens receive preference. Non-U.S. Citizens may be considered.
Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
Board Certified in Cardiology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered. Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
The starting pay is $350,000 per year.
