Full- Time, Part Time and On-Call Opportunities available

Salud seeks a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for an OB/GYN Hospitalist position.

Salud Para La Gente is a Federally Qualified Health Center committed to providing high quality, comprehensive and cost effective health care that is responsive to the needs of the communities it serves. The OBGYN physicians support the organization s mission, vision and values and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to operate a 24/7 OB Hospitalist Program at Watsonville Community Hospital.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide evidence based Obstetric and Gynecologic care for patients at Watsonville Community Hospital.
Work in a collaborative practice model with Certified Nurse Midwives and Family Medicine Physicians in Labor and Delivery.
Provide timely consultations in the Emergency Department.
Act as a preceptor for Family Medicine residents rotating in the department.
Actively participate in quality improvement committees and hospital governance.
Participate in continuing education programs to remain current on professional development and practices and to maintain California licensure.
Maintain a valid professional license, updated CPR certificate and valid California driver s license.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Working knowledge: of the principles, practices, and procedures used in obstetrics and gynecology to detect, diagnose, and treat health problems in a culturally sensitive manner that includes informed consent and shared decision-making.

Ability to: communicate effectively and respectfully with people from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds and lifestyles, demonstrating a knowledge of and sensitivity to their needs; to maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, other community agencies, the medical community, and the public.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid California OB/GYN Physician's and Surgeon's license
Board certified (or Board eligible) in OB/GYN
Ability to obtain/maintain hospital admitting privileges at Watsonville Community Hospital

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual Spanish/English

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $308,944.06 - $341,120.00/year

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k), voluntary long-term disability, holiday pay, 19 days of PTO per year and CE allowance. Reimbursement of medical license fees, CME and eligibility for the State Loan Reimbursement Program (SLRP) through HRSA. Malpractice through FTCA and NorCAL--Salud pays med staff fee and malpractice tail.
